A Failure of A Day and A Rocket Launch

Today was a wild adventure. After waking up in the Grand Canyon at 7:00 in the morning (🫩) we left the Grand Canyon and headed to the town of Page, Arizona, where we would be renting our houseboat for the next few days. After a pit stop at Desert View Watchtower, where we saw even more amazing views of the Grand Canyon, we headed to Page, where we went to a Safeway to get food (we were there for a good 45 minutes.)Then we had to drive to the site and even end up taking forever in the blazing sun to unload the RV into a ATV to carry it all dow. After we FINALLY reached the boat, we got on, unloaded and put everything away and set sail… at 5:30. We only had a good 30 mins before sunset so we decided to head for a nearby beach… where Mum and Dad needed up beaching the boat not once, but twice, the second time becoming so stuck that we had to wait till the next day to be rescued. After EVERYTHING of the day, we were sitting down eating dinner when Dad went outside to look at the vie… and saw a rocket. A SpaceX launch from Florida carrying 10699 kilos of gear to ISS, a new record (I’m so smart). We got some amazing pictures of it, which ended up kinda saving the day. Seeing the launch really redeemed most of the day, at least for me.

  1. What a fantastic photo! Sometimes the failures are more memorable than the successes. Funny that
